Gorgeous oil on canvas, "Cavendish" This beautifully executed painting measures 3 x 4 painted on aluminum ; signed in the lower corner, this is a fine example of my work. The aluminum creates an extra glow, it reflects light providing an ever changing painting depending on your light choices. Candle light creates a sparkling effects. Very Beautiful.

Description:

“Cavendish” is the title of this richly colored oil on aluminum landscape painted by contemporary artist Caulfield Russell. The metal measures approximately 3 x 4 Caulfield Russell is a painter of New England marine and countryside scenes and New York Beaches. She is influenced by the work of 19th Century American Tonalists and Impressionists, but her contemporary training provides a fresh take on the subject. As a teen, Caulfield Russell began plein aire landscape painting in Montauk New York. Eventually studying with Charles Gruppe and a variety of marine painters. She went on to formal art training at Jacksonville University (BFA), and Queens College (MS). Currently she is the associate director of a New York Art Gallery, and an active member of the Lyme Art Association, The National Association of Women Artists and several other art associations. Caulfield Russell’s prints and paintings are in private collections throughout the country. Her paintings have exhibited in The Lyman Allen Museum.
